In the world of professional golf, decisions made by players often spark debates and discussions among fans, fellow golfers, and experts. One such decision that has been under scrutiny lately is Jon Rahm’s move to the Saudi-funded league. While some have labeled him as a ‘hypocritе’, golf influencer Paige Spiranac thinks otherwise.

In a recent podcast, Paige Spiranac addresses the ongoing narrative that paints Jon Rahm as a hypocrite for joining the LIV Golf after expressing loyalty to the PGA Tour. The golf diva shuts down unfair allegations against the Spaniard with a powerful statement.

The social media sensation believes that the golfing landscape has undergone significant changes in recent years. The supposed changes have affected the dynamic relationship between players and the PGA Tour. In her podcast, Playing a Round with Paige, the 30-year-old touched upon the subject of Rahm’s move.

Shutting down the ongoing hypocrisy remarks, she said, “I will say that the constant theme around the John Rahm announcement was how he was a hypocrite, which I don’t think is fair, because when he said that he was loyal to the PGA Tour. That was a while ago when the PGA Tour was also loyal to their players.”

Her strong stance sure didn’t end here, and she brought forward the changes that have happened on the PGA Tour in the last couple of years. She said that it is fair for the golfers to change their minds, especially “when someone goes against their word.” Following this, her strong word of advice was that it is okay to not be loyal to someone when they have not been loyal to you. “You don’t have to be loyal to them anymore,” said Spiranac.

While supporting and discussing the money aspect of the Spanish golfer’s move, the golf mommy said, “If both tours are in a place right now, where they are struggling, well, I’ll take the money.”

Spiranac argued that in Rahm’s case, the change of heart may be attributed to shifts that have happened within the PGA Tour itself. Things have been pretty unstable on the PGA Tour lately, especially after its deal with the Saudi PIF. Spiranac’s bold remarks in favor of Rahm did not conclude here, as she continued her thoughts by bringing Jordan Spiеth into the picture.

According to Speith, Rahm could have thought it was better to at least choose money, and at least opt for financial security. Pointing out 3x major winner’s thoughts as well, Spiranac said, “I don’t disagree with that.”
