If you’re a fan of Phil Mickelson, you’re in for a treat. He is back with another tale in the “Phireside with Phil” series on YouTube. For the unfamiliar minds, it’s basically a hangout session where he shares crazy stories, laughs, and behind-the-scenes peeks into his golfing life. It’s like grabbing a drink with an old buddy – except your buddy just happens to be a golf legend. In his latest episode, Phil’s got a tale that’s guaranteed to make you LOL… well, it seems like the golfer has flopped yet another amazing anecdote.
In the latest episode of Phil Mickelson and The Hyflyers on YouTube, Mickelson shares a hilarious and mind-blowing story about Dustin Johnson’s impressive athletic feat. “One of the things that happened early in our career that I’ll never forget… it was kind of mind-blowing to me,” Mickelson starts, setting the tone for a memorable anecdote. “It was at Baker’s Bay outdoor bar and it’s sand around it and there’s this bar top it’s like a three and a half four feet high,” he continues, painting a vivid picture of the scene.
Mickelson recounts how a guy named Willis had ‘wowed’ the crowd with his ability to jump from the sand onto the bar top. But what happened next left Mickelson speechless. Johnson, who had already had a few drinks, decided to give it a try. With a swift jump, he landed on the bar top, leaving everyone in awe. As Mickelson describes it, “It was one of the most athletic feats, it reminded me of like Tristan Worf’s, you know jumping out of the pool type thing.” He also adds, “like you’re a freak athlete and so are you,” a testament to Johnson’s impressive physical abilities.

But that’s not all – as there’s an abundance of amazing stories featuring Mickelson and Johnson that are just too good to pass up.
Dustin Johnson’s jaw-dropping golf feat leaves Phil Mickelson speechless
During a recent YouTube golf match, Johnson shared an insane tale from his college days at Coastal Carolina University that left even Mickelson speechless. Apparently, Johnson made a double eagle and a hole-in-one, back-to-back on the second and third holes at Spring Valley in Columbia. We’re talking a 6-iron hole-out for a double eagle, followed by a 5-iron ace – a feat that’s almost impossible to wrap your head around.
Even Mickelson, a six-time major champ with 47 (yes, 47!) holes-in-one, was stunned by Johnson’s story, saying “No way, I’ve never heard of that.” And let’s be real when Phil Mickelson is left speechless, you know it’s a story worth telling. Johnson’s ridiculous golf skills are no surprise, but this feat is just mind-boggling – and a reminder that these stories are the stuff of legend. The banter and camaraderie between Mickelson and Johnson are just as entertaining as their golf games, and we can’t get enough of their amazing stories and anecdotes.
