You may have heard tales of rivalries among the top contenders in a particular event, but rest assured, this sibling rivalry at present will leave you thrilled. The Paris Olympics are not that far away, and there is only one household that will send two golfers to represent their country. It’s Australia’s Lee family. Min Woo Lee and Minjee Lee have both qualified to take part in the Paris Games, but besides their usual rivalry, they are supporting each other this time around.

In an interview with Golf Channel, Min Woo Lee was reminded how he was not the only one from his family who was going to the Paris Games. With two major championship titles included in her 10 LPGA wins, Min Woo’s elder sister, Minjee Lee, will be fighting to bring golf home. She has competed twice in the Olympics before, first in 2016, and then again in 2021. Min Woo Lee will be representing his country for the very first time this year.

Although the siblings have publicly shown their funny rivalry before, Woo Lee chose to speak for a rather united approach this time around. The younger brother suggested his hope for a future that enables doubles or team play at the Olympics. He said, “It would be amazing. I mean, I feel like, you know, a lot of other sports do a team thing, so it would be nice if there was a doubles or mixed doubles thing in the golf aspect of the Olympics.”

He said, “I am really excited just to be part of Australia and part of the Olympics, and yeah. He further expressed his wishes for them to come true too: “I think in the future, hopefully, that could be a thing. You know, golf’s only becoming bigger and better everywhere in the world. Min Woo Lee vs. Minjee Lee

In a short clip shared by ABC News In-Depth on YouTube, Minjee and Min Woo Lee opened their hearts. When Minjee Lee claimed that she is rather inwardly unlike his brother, Chef instantly agreed and stated, “Yeah, I never want to lose.” While the brother is only starting to get popular and better with his motto “Let him cook,” Minjee has been a star on the LPGA Tour for a longer time. And she knows it slightly better than her brother, and she strives for more competition between the two.

She revealed, “Rivalry is bigger for him.” I think he likes that. It’s a bit of motivation for him.” But Minjee Lee did not hesitate to reveal that the rivalry has been giving her something in return. She confessed, “It’s motivation for me too.”

Coach Ritchie Smith has observed and revealed his opinion as to why the brother does not think he is under the shadow of his sister. He stated, “Minjee is the elder of the pair, and she’s certainly got the measure in golf. He [Min Woo Lee] doesn’t like to think so sometimes. I think they push each other; I think that you know, without one, their performances probably wouldn’t be as good.”

The duo seem to share a typical brother-sister bond! It sure would be fun to see them tee off together one day! Do you think this sibling rivalry is healthy? Let us know if you think the duo helps each other improve because of their competition.
