In a recent interview with SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio, the 26-year-old suggested that players should have walk-up songs while approaching the 16th hole. “If we had walk-up songs, I would be for that idea,” Morikawa said.
Moreover, the bear would like to choose a party song, preferably by Katy Perry, for his walk-up song. “I would go like, if you are drunk, a bunch of 20 some things, maybe like Katy Perry,” he added.
Fireworks and California girls are Morikawa’s two choices for the walk-up song. Additionally believes that a Katy Perry song would help him hit birdies every day. “I am making birdie every single day.”

The 16th Hole at the Phoenix Open is special. No other event or hole has the setting where the players emerge from a tunnel to the cheering of hundreds of fans. People are allowed to express their emotions by booing the player for bad shots and cheering for the good ones.
So, when Morikawa was asked how he feels when he walks up to the 16th hole, towards the sea of fans, he said that he is glad he does not wear a fitness tracker like Whoop, because that would reveal how high his heart is in that moment. “I am glad I don’t wear a Whoop, because it would be higher than what I am going to say.” Additionally, every golfer would agree with him on this.
