As golf’s biggest stars prepare their game plans for conquering Augusta National’s treacherous greens, LIV Golf’s Brooks Koepka and his wife Jena Sims are tackling a different kind of preparation. They’re ensuring their 1-year-old son, Crew, has everything he needs for his week at Augusta. Last year was the Crew’s first-ever trip to Augusta, of which Jena shared pictures. The little one donned a white caddie suit with “KOEPKA” written on the back, and even had his own little club. As he gets ready for his second time, he needs new clothes, obviously.

Comes to rescue, a special package from the Smoking Flamingo apparel company, containing designer baby clothes specially made for little Crew’s trip to Georgia. Jena shared the emotional moment on her Instagram Stories this week, sharing that she was moved to tears by the thoughtful gift. “I wasn’t ready 😢😫😫😫,” she wrote while showcasing the adorable outfits.

Jena proudly displayed the collection of baby clothes in her Instagram carousel, declaring “Crew is for sure fitted” alongside an image of the gift card accompanying the outfits. Jena Sims’s outfits for ANGC might have seen a roadblock, but Crew will be there, all decked up in style.

Little Crew is already showing signs of following in his famous father’s footsteps. Jena recently shared an adorable clip of the toddler racing through their garden. He was wielding an orange plastic golf club just his size. Come get your kid, she playfully tagged Brooksie in the post. The one-year-old’s early interest in his dad’s profession has delighted fans. However, Crew’s journey hasn’t been without challenges.

Born six weeks premature in July 2023, he spent his first 20 days in the NICU. He later required a special helmet to support his head due to congenital torticollis. Jena creatively personalized the helmet with the logo of Brooks’ Smash GC team. Their transparency about these struggles has resonated with many parents facing similar situations.

Brooks Koepka’s evolution as a person

Fatherhood has visibly transformed the once-stoic competitor. Koepka recently reflected on this profound change. “I think my life has changed a lot the last four years,” he admitted to reporters. “Obviously having a son changes my perspective on life, not just golf.”

The shift in priorities has been evident in his public demeanor. Koepka now shows a softer side rarely seen before Crew’s arrival. “Maybe golf was kind of everything for me,” he acknowledged with newfound perspective. “But having Crew definitely changes my perspective.”

This evolution hasn’t hampered his performance. Since Crew’s birth, Koepka has maintained elite-level play. He’s secured multiple LIV Golf victories, including wins at Singapore and The Greenbrier in 2024. He became the first player to win five individual LIV Golf titles by early 2025. His statistical highlights remain impressive, with an average driving distance of 307-308 yards.

Major tournaments have seen him remain competitive. He finished 26th at the 2024 U.S. Open and made the cut at the Open Championship. His putting stats show significant strength, averaging +1.980 strokes gained in recent tournaments. This balance of family life and professional excellence demonstrates his remarkable adaptability.

When he steps onto Augusta’s hallowed grounds next week, Koepka will carry dual identities. He remains a fierce competitor seeking another major title. Yet he’s also a dad whose priorities have fundamentally shifted. With Crew watching from outside the ropes, wearing his new Smoking Flamingo outfit, Koepka will demonstrate how family and championship golf can beautifully coexist.
