Tiger Woods’ golf talent is well-known around the world. The 15-time major winner has done wonders for the sport of golf. Woods’ professional career has been full of ups and downs, and so has his personal life. But his skills on the field have only gotten better with each passing year. There was a time when Nick Price was stunned to see Woods’ extremely amazing performance on the field.

Nick Price was mesmerized by Tiger Woods’ performance
It was during the 2003 Presidents Cup when Tiger Woods was playing under the captaincy of his idol, Jack Nicklaus. Fans still remember it as one of the greatest moments in golf history. The game was tied with a score of 17-17 between both teams, and it was decided that there will be a sudden-death playoff. The captains from both teams had to pick their best players to compete for the final playoff to settle the tie.

As expected, Nicklaus selected the former World No. 1 Tiger Woods to play from his end. While the rival captain Gary Player sent Ernie Els who was World No. 2 back then. There was immense tension on the field as Els stared at Woods for three holes sinking one clutch putt after the other. And it was not long before the sun began to set in South Africa.

Woods poured a spectacular 15-footer for par on the third hole, but to make it even, Els buried a six-footer and tied again. Price was nervous watching the game and was 47 years old back then. He said, “You could hardly see, to be honest. It was so dark…I was sweating, I couldn’t look. I was pulling at grass and looking all over the place, but it was tough. Really, really tough.” However, towards the end of the game, Player and Nicklaus agreed to settle for the tie looking at both golfers playing their best shots.

Jack Nicklaus revealed Woods’ statements from the Masters dinner
Tiger Woods has been suffering from immense pain in his leg from his car crash injuries. The golfer also said that he would not be playing any full schedules soon. Although, people are expecting to see Woods in upcoming events. And Nicklaus once revealed what Woods felt about getting back on the field.

During the Masters dinner, Woods said, “Why in the world would I wait a year to play if I know I’m gonna hurt both years,”. According to the golfer, he knows that his pain is not going away anytime soon. And therefore he expressed his wish to play anyways.
