The hockey player is back on the PGA Tour! Yes, you guessed it right! Happy Gilmore is returning with the next chapter of his life—a preview of which dropped hot on YouTube exactly a month ago. And, boy, did it force us to squint our eyes with the sheer amount of star power that graced the screens. First, it was a passing shot of Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Bryson DeChambeau that caught us by surprise. And by the time, the one minute, 45-second trailer was over, Paige Spiranac, and John Daly appeared on screen for a brief moment, making one thing clear: The movie, set to release on July 25 this year, is going to take you on a golfing trip like never before!

But what if we tell you there’s more? Besides Bad Bunny’s hilarious impersonation of a caddie, and Adam Sandler’s perfect comedic timing, there are reportedly more PGA Tour stars set to make some notable cameos. But, can you really combine the world of acting and golfing? Well, not without some painstaking effort, which is exactly what happened when two new golfers reported to be a part of the movie appeared for a cameo together…

On April 18, Keegan Bradley and Akshay Bhatia—paired together for the first couple of rounds of the ongoing RBC Heritage 2025—joined the latest episode of the Subpar Golf podcast, where they spoke about their time on Harbour Town Golf Links and other things related to golf. Towards the last quarter of the podcast, one of the hosts questioned Bradley: “Give me the best and worst actors out of the Tour players you saw on the set of Happy Gilmore 2.”

Speaking about his time shooting for the movie, the 38-year-old said, “My part, that I’m in, is with Jordan Spieth. I was really nervous as this was really an official movie. I don’t know what I was expecting, but this was like, ‘This is different than the stupid little commercials that I shoot’. We had these lines, and we had to deliver. There were real actors that were depending on us.” Judging by his statement, seems like Bradley was a bit overwhelmed by the entire setup. As good of a golfer as he may be, playing one in a movie is still not as easy. But wait, there’s more!

“I can’t look at Jordan and I’m really, really nervous,” the 38-year-old added before continuing, “We do our first take and Jordan looks at me and we both start hysterically laughing. And I was so mad. I said, ‘Jordan, you have to stop. We’re ruining this whole production.’ We, ultimately, I think, got it. But definitely Jordan (the worst actor out of the Tour players).” To this, the host hilariously responded, “We finally found something Jordan’s not good at.” However, the conversation didn’t stop there…

When asked what Adam Sandler was like in person, Bradley didn’t mince any words in describing how genuine he is as a person, similar to what Spieth had pointed out in December last year. In a conversation on SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio with Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz, the veteran remarked, “Adam Sandler was like just exactly what everyone says about him. I mean, the nicest guy, the funniest guy, just comes natural to him, and he’s so involved, he’s so appreciative. It was really a cool experience.” Interestingly, Kansas City Chiefs tight-end Travis Kelce is also going to be a part of the movie, as is Christopher McDonald, who plays Happy’s golf rival Shooter McGavin, and Julie Bowen, who plays Virginia Venit, the Tour’s relations director turned Happy’s girlfriend.

McDonald even went on to describe his return saying, “We had a lot of fun with great people and it’s a great honor to be back. I’ve been an ambassador for this movie for so many years, and I’m so glad it’s finally come to fruition. It’s going to be off the hook. Everyone is going to be really, really happy with it.”

Talking about the movie, Thomas excitedly said, “It was a pretty easy thing for me to be able to just play obsessed with ‘Happy Gilmore. It was so cool to be around everybody and be around Chris (McDonald) and just all of it. I mean, that movie, that generation of movies is literally what we grew up on, and I realized how many Adam Sandler quotes I use in my daily life when I’m around him because I obviously felt uncomfortable saying them around him, and that’s when I realized that he’s a part of my childhood and growing up more than I realized. It was a very cool experience.”

Apart from Happy Gilmore himself, who else are you excited to watch in the sequel of the highly anticipated movie? Let us know in the comments section.
