Alike Spiranac, Sonders also enjoys considerable fame in the golf world. Even though she caters to a massive fanbase, it does come at a cost. A cost, that she revealed through an example during her conversation with Spiranac in May 2020.
Walking down memory lane, Sonders appeared in an episode of Spiranac’s self-produced podcast, ‘Playing a round With Paige Renee’. During the conversation, she revealed a horrific incident she suffered during the 2015 US Open.

The incident clearly had a disheartening influence on Solders. However, similar to golf beauty Spiranac, the hatred failed to pull down the star reporter, who used this incident to shape into a stronger human being. Coming towards the end, she wrapped her revelation by saying, “After that, I was like, ‘F*** it.’ If all these people I had given so much to in the world of golf are going to come down on me on that, then forget it.”
Two years since the podcast, Sonders and Spiranac continue to receive hate to date . However, carrying a powerful personality within themselves, the two have made sure to not let the hate hamper their personal, as well as professional growth. The result? As mentioned above, the two enjoy being amongst the most prominent names in the golf world.
