But with all the fanfare, Spiranac has often been at the end of public backlash and vile comments. She once let out her feelings regarding cyberbullying and her own experiences with it.
Paige Spiranac reveals cyber-bullying trauma
In 2018, Spiranac recalled the time when she was hurled with unsavory comments after getting an invitation to a significant tournament. A few days preceding the event, the golf beauty had received the accolade of “hottest golfer on the planet,” which further propelled her status.

However, netizens tossed distasteful comments on Spiranac’s social media feeds, claiming it was her recognition and not skill which led to her participation. The ex-golfer was distraught after reading such comments, which deluded her with gloom.
“It really affected me,” Spiranac told ‘Sports Illustrated’ at the time. “I was sitting in the bathroom just balling and was like ‘I don’t want to go through this pain, this feel of helplessness. Being alone. Scared. … How scared I was. How helpless I felt in that I was bullied so bad to the point that I didn’t want to live anymore.’”
Spiranac recalls further accounts of body shaming
The golfer-turned-media sensation has been vilified on multiple occasions in the past. She was once body shamed after receiving a number of crude comments calling her ‘fat’ in a previous golf video.

“Honestly, the amount of men calling me ‘fat’ on this post is next level lol. I’ve had to delete so many comments which I almost never do,” Spiranac wrote in her stories. “I know my body is a big part of my brand and that comes with a territory, but it’s hard to maintain my ideal weight all the time year after year.”
She revealed she had to work hard in the gym and on her diet.
