However, an incident at a Florida-based hotel left her shaken and haunted. Her husband Brooks Koepka was 4,000 miles away in Spain playing at the LIV Golf Valderrama event at the time. Jena Sims’ preposterous shower incident

It has become pretty usual for Jena Sims to visit Florida for her organization, as well as her modeling career. Now, as she qualified for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, she is going to walk the ramp of Miami Swim Week, a dream she looked forward to achieving for years.

As required, she took a trip to Florida while her husband Brooks Koepka was busy trying to win the title at LIV Golf Valderrama. She checked into a “historic” hotel as the staff likes to brag about the 100-year heritage of the establishment. Having stayed there before, Jena asked the receptionist, “What about the other ‘H’ word?” Sims meant ‘Haunted’ but evidently didn’t say anything more.

Thus began the harrowing, albeit somewhat hilariously scary stay of her trip. On her Instagram story, Sims spoke of her survival tale with utmost seriousness. “I went to bed last night, locked the door, didn’t think nothing. Survived the night.” The trouble didn’t begin till the next day. “I was in the shower this morning. I had the lights on a little dimmer so it wasn’t full blast in there. Mid shower all the lights go out.”

Sims assumed it was the dimmer that may have glitched and continued: “Got out of the shower, wet the floor, turned the lights back on.” Evidently, the lights went out twice while she was under the water. “I was alone, naked, left to my own devices. Pitch black. Twice.” She smiles mocking the hotel’s claims, “I’m like, historic.”

But then the scary realization hit her, “It wasn’t a power outage in the hotel.” What makes her so sure? “I had my TV on, The Whole Time!” she said. “I can hear my TV going, so it’s just the bathroom lights, where I was.” In hindsight, she finds the event funny but perhaps having her husband beside her and not 4000 miles away would have been her preference.

Sims followed her harrowing story with a track by Rockwell going thus: ‘Somebody’s watching me.’ Given her fortitude and the adventurous life she lives, it is unlikely that the Pro golfer’s stunning spouse was actually scared. However, an incident like that leaves a mark. It’s a good thing she didn’t see anything that would have scared her further.

Brooks Koepka’s loving wife is an inspiration

Sims is a celebrity even if she wasn’t married to the LIV Golf Pro Brooks Koepka. Her dedication to her craft as an actress and model made her a social media influencer. However, what makes her truly special is her work with the non-profit organization she founded in 2005 called ‘Pageant of Hope.’

This year, the Pageant was held in Jupiter, Florida, in mid-May. Aside from her work with kids, Sims is also an inspiration to women.
