While the majority of her fans enjoy her golfing skills, a section of social media users leaves no stone unturned in leaving demeaning comments; some of which surround body shaming.

The golfing beauty today enjoys being a part of the million-dollar followers club on social media. However, despite being the most followed golfer online, she opts to use her self-produced podcast to express her opinions. A glimpse of it was visible recently. Speaking in her podcast, she took the lead to address the issue of her being body shamed.
Paige Spiranac responds to body shaming comments
As mentioned earlier, Spiranac is the most followed golfer on social media. Scrolling through her social media handles, one can see a plethora of love and well wishes from her fans. However, on the contrary, one can also see a considerable amount of hate. Majority of which revolves around her body.
Recently, Spiranac released the latest episode of her Podcast series ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee’. During the podcast, she looked at her social media handles, addressing the hate comments surrounding her body. “I was being body shamed and I’m nowhere near,” she said “I should never be called fat…I’m just not.”
Going ahead in the conversation, she further opened up about how her being body shamed isn’t only a source of disturbance for her but for women on a large scale. She said, “I can see how that can be extremely damaging to a lot of women looking at men call me that when I’m not.”

While Spiranac opened up about the issue with utmost grace, she opted to end it with a strong message. “That’s not okay,” she asserted.

This isn’t the only social evil that Spiranac has given her thoughts about. Over the years, the 29-year-old has opened up about various other issues like sexism, and judgment regarding what women choose to wear. However, despite all the evils in place, she has made sure to not let them hamper her fame. Fame, that is steadily going its way up.
