In a recent segment, the golf sensation sat down to chat about the best and worst of her golf clubs. Spiranac ranked them from worst to best, and started off by naming the 60-degree wedge as the least-ranked one, but without reason.

“I don’t hate this club, I just never use it. I don’t even know why I have it in my bag still to be honest,” Paige said. The wedge is certainly a hard one to get a grip on, so no complaints there.

The second name on the list was Spiranac’s least favored club. “I literally hate my 5-iron more than anything,” she complained. Many keep the long iron in their bags for a timely lofted drive to get out of an unpleasant situation, which Spiranac doesn’t seem to be bothered with.

As the list went further, Spiranac’s dislike of long irons was gradually disclosed. She chose the 6-iron next on the list, followed by her short irons later.

Among others, Spiranac loves wood. She recommended the 7-wood as a healthy alternative to the long irons. “It’s new to my bag and I love it! More people should try a 7 wood or a hybrid instead of a 3 or 4 iron,” she said.

However, the jewel in Spiranac’s crown turned out to be her 54-degree wedge. She credited the creative use of the club, which she felt was useful while teaching golf. “This is my go-to club around the greens. My chipping is the best part of my game by far. It’s also my favorite part of the game to teach. You can be so creative.”
