LPGA sensation Nelly Korda has been on a roll lately. The 24-year-old finished third at the 2023 Chevron Championship, returning to world no. 1 position for the first time since November.

The young golfer is currently vying to keep her momentum going at the JM Eagle LA Championship, which is underway at the familiar Wilshire Country Club. Her older sister and fellow LPGA pro, Jessica Korda, is also playing at the tournament in Los Angeles.

In the past, the golfing stars once name-dropped the Hollywood actresses they would want to play them on screen. So, who does Nelly Korda want to portray her on-screen?  Who will play the older Korda sibling? Let’s find out!

Nelly Korda wants this Hollywood superstar to portray her in a movie

Everyone loves a good old biopic, especially if it draws inspiration from athletes and their on-field heroics. Given the amazing feats Nelly Korda and Jessica Korda have accomplished in the past years, their stories may be turned into a film sooner than you think.

In fact, the sisters had once revealed the stars they would want to be played by in a film. In an interview with Golf Digest, Jessica Korda shared that a young Jennifer Aniston would be a good choice. But, her younger sibling believes that actress Sarah Jessica Parker of “Sex and the City” fame would be more fitting. “You used to be obsessed with her,” said Nelly Korda, revealing her older sister’s love for the famous show.

Meanwhile, the current world no. 1 picked Hollywood sensation Margot Robbie to play her on screen. “I like her a lot!” she said. Robbie would do a perfect job, considering she has previously portrayed another famous sports figure in 2017’s “I, Tonya.” The actress played famed former figure skater Tonya Harding in the movie, which also helped her score her first-ever Oscar nomination.

How does Korda feel about her return to the top?

After her solo third-place finish at the first LPGA Major of the year, Nelly Korda headed off to compete at the next LPGA event in LA. But, the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship winner managed to shed some light on her latest feat.

Following her successful outing at the Chevron Championship, Korda overhauled New Zealand’s Lydia Ko to top the Women’s World Golf Rankings. She also walked away with $347,974 in earnings. “It would have been obviously very nice to win the major, as well, but I think being World No. 1 is very rewarding,” said the Olympic gold medal winner. She further said, “the rankings at the end of the day tell you the consistent play you’re playing.

The LPGA golfer is currently in LA, competing at the JM Eagle LA Championship.
