The American professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau made headlines when people noticed a tremendous change in his physique. Within months, he gained 30 pounds and weighed around 225 pounds from his previous 195 lbs. Since the change happened so fast, the golf world speculated that he was maybe using steroids to gain muscle.

“I am gonna go get tested for PEDs,” the golfer said in one of his YouTube videos. Many criticized him for taking steroids to change his physique considerably from his former self, although he constantly denied such allegations. Therefore, DeChambeau tested himself and shared it through his YouTube channel to prove his innocence.

“I know what I did,” DeChambeau added in the drug testing video. “But do you?” he asked his viewers. The nearly 6-minute-long video contained him giving samples at a laboratory, an intense practice session, and getting the results in the end.

“All negative as expected. See attached! You’re Clean! haha,” the happy golfer loudly read the email he got from the lab. Moreover, he revealed the results, which indicated he was tested negative in every test they ran, including growth hormones.

If not steroids, how did Bryson DeChambeau gain weight so quickly?

People saw the golfer bulked up within months and thus believed he used steroids like growth hormones to do it. However, Greg Roskopf, the brain behind the change, claims that the process in which DeChambeau gained weight took way longer than just a few months.

Notably, DeChambeau started a 3,500 to 6,000 calorie diet plan to increase his body mass. According to Roskopf, the golfer relied mostly on protein powder to get his calories every day.
