However, owing to the high following, Spiranac often receives hate comments. The former pro once fired back at her haters back in 2018 for their hypocritical mindset.
Spiranac is currently a pretty popular golf asset. With continuous growth in her fan following, the 29-year-old seems to enhance her popularity beyond the internet and golf.

Maxim magazine labeled Paige Spiranac as the ‘2022 Sexiest Woman Alive.’ Despite all her accomplishments, there are always a group of individuals who don’t miss the opportunity to slam the influencer, mostly for her clothing. However, Spiranac once had a fitting reply to all her haters and also made an empowering statement for herself and other female influencers.
Paige Spiranac calls out haters who see her as a gimmick
Back in 2018, Spiranac sparked widespread publicity after it was announced that she would hit the tee shot at the 2018 Dubai Desert Classic. She became the first woman to take the microphone in place of the usual stoic European Tour man. This resulted in the female star receiving hate comments on the internet.

However, Spiranac remained unconcerned about mean comments. Instead, she made a statement about how hypocritical the fans are regarding her. She said, “When it comes to the golf industry, I know that people see me as a gimmick. I don’t think I am. If I was a guy and I had the same social following, I don’t think people would call it a gimmick. They’d say it was great.”

The 2022 Sexiest Woman Alive also talked about how the critics constantly talk about her preference for clothing. Spiranac said, “People seem to think I got where I am because of the clothes that I wear. That’s unfair to me and unfair to all of my accomplishments. I probably do more community service than any other professional golfer.”

She further added, “For people to say: ‘You only show some cleavage, that’s why you have what you have,’ is unfair. That’s the injustice that we face every day as women and I see it a lot in golf.” Spiranac also mentioned that since the sport has been dominated by men for so long, people are finding it hard to change their mindset over it.

Despite the constant hate, Paige Spiranac has found her path to glory. The 29-year-old is undoubtedly one of the most popular sports influencers on the internet. Whether you like her or hate her, but you surely can’t disrespect her.
