Justin Thomas is one of the few golfers who outrightly rejected the offer from LIV Golf for the Saudi-based Golf League. So it was not a surprise when he bluntly confronted his good friend on Twitter for having a conversation with the LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman.
All it took was one Tweet from Colt Knost, a former professional golfer, and Golf SubPar host, for the golf world to go crazy.
Out now!!! @SharkGregNorman joins us on @golf_subpar to discuss all things LIV golf!!! https://t.co/61f4zU1J5a pic.twitter.com/zzLRIjqVwn

He and his co-host at SubPar, Drew Stoltz, interviewed LIV Golf CEO and the man behind the Saudi Golf League, Greg Norman. Soon after the episode was released, Knost shared the link with his followers on his Twitter page.

While many loved the episode, there were others who were not satisfied with the way the hosts handled the interview.
Human rights and murdering journalists (you’re in media now right?) will matter long after the SGL is dead. You can be sarcastic and defensive but you will look back and regret how you handled this.

I listened…not a single question or mention of the source of the bloodiest money around. Chuckling along with him. Yikes. Reprimanded you like a child about “LIV” name. Cool commercial for killers gents! “Very exciting”

It was a great interview, good questions and enjoyed it. For all the people saying they shouldn’t have done it or whatever, guess what you can skip an episode! I know 🤯

Since the comments were mixed, and many were not pleased with the interview, Knost took Twitter to clear his side. “I knew yesterdays @golf_subpar would come with mixed comments. Greg’s people reached out to me and said he was ready to talk about LIV golf.”
I knew yesterdays @golf_subpar would come with mixed comments. Greg’s people reached out to me and said he was ready to talk about LIV golf. I thought it was a great opportunity to discuss one of the biggest topics in the game of golf with the man behind it all.

He also added more explanations through the comments.
And if you take the time to listen, I think you will learn things about LIV golf that you didn’t know before. I know I did! And if you don’t want to listen to this episode that’s fine! Thx to all the loyal listeners!

The tweets got many positive comments as some fans supported his point of view. One of them wrote, “Blows my mind that people think they can tell other people who they can and can’t talk to…”
Justin Thomas confronted Colt Knost!
While most of them commented with nice words, there were some who still held a grudge against the former golfer. One among them was Justin Thomas, a good friend of Knost.
“We get it colt. You signed with LIV golf and are going to play professional again. I knew it,” Justin replied to Colt Knost’s tweet.
Thomas, widely known for his funny and easy-going character, knows how and when to make a joke. Even the golfer and SubPar’s official page acknowledged his funny side as they commented under it.
Woah woah woah!!!!!
