Currently, all the eyes are on the Pinehurst Resort & Country Club (Course No. 2). The third major of the season, the US Open is about to begin. Rory McIlroy, one of the top favorites to win the trophy, practiced before the opening round, and fans were already arriving at the course to witness the tournament. However, among all the fans on the course, one managed to steal the spotlight from the Irishman disrespectfully. What did they do?

At 1:14 p.m. ET, McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, and Scottie Scheffler will tee off. Before their tee time, McIlroy was practicing to get a head start in the first round. However, while the fans witnessed the four-time major champion practicing, a fan positioned directly behind the golfer stole the camera’s attention.

Recently, @NUCLRGOLF shared a video on X with the caption “Dude, get a tissue.” The clip primarily featured Rory McIlroy, but behind him, a fan in black pants and a grey polo shirt was caught picking his nose. This was an overall unpleasant sight for the fans to witness as well.

One fan expressed their sentiments humorously by commenting, “Use Rory’s towel at least,” suggesting that the fan should have used the white towel the golfer was using in the video. Another fan shared their feelings of discomfort more directly, commenting with a simple “Yikes,” emphasizing how unpleasant and awkward the display was to witness. During the PGA Tour’s WM Phoenix Open, a similar “yikes” moment occurred when an extremely intoxicated fan was seen seated near a compost bin on the greens, holding a bottle and urinating himself.

One fan commented, “Rory looking back like wtf,” noting how Rory McIlroy glanced in surprise towards the fan but didn’t say anything. Another sarcastically remarked, “Now the handrail is full of antibodies,” suggesting that after picking his nose, the fan’s handrail likely had enough antibodies to combat foreign substances like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.

Another fan shared an interesting viewpoint, stating, “Hot take: picking your nose is normal and much easier than using a tissue.” Expressing the discomfort with this incident, one fan outright commented, I just threw up!Fans at LIV Golf Adelaide exhibited a similar erratic behavior by hurling water bottles, beer cans, and various other items onto the greens at the party hole creating an overall bizarre spectacle to witness.

One fan even humorously posed a question, commenting, “Digging for gold??” This fan suggested, “That rail wipe should lead to a fine, maybe even a misdemeanor,” implying that the unpleasant behavior shown in the video should result in some form of penalty or punishment. However, no reports indicate that fans engaging in bizarre behavior on the greens, as witnessed during the WM Phoenix Open, have faced repercussions. Observers saw a group of fans running onto the venue, with no rules in place to prevent them from doing so.
