The Swedish professional golfer, Anna Nordqvist, is a three-time major winner.  She is also a two-time Olympian. She once shared her opinions on the lack of value of the Olympics in the golfing community

She said, “I know how much the Olympics means.. For someone to go ‘Oh no, I’m not going to go.’ I just don’t get it. Golf might not be considered to be in the Olympics, because if not all the best players are going, then what’s the point.”

She continued, “I don’t think there’s a greater honor as an athlete than playing in the Olympics.”

Women golfers have displayed a great turnout at the Olympics this year. This year’s Olympics had many major players in it. This included sensational players like Nelly Korda, Inbee Park, Lexi Thompson, and Lydia Ko.

Participants from the world of men’s golf still remain less. Major names are not taking part in the Olympics. It is high time that the world of golf increases participation in the game.

However, after fighting through COVID-19 and making their bond last, the duo finally wedded in August. Anna apparently had her dress on hold for 3 years, and clearly was excited. The duo had the most awaited wedding ever, but in all certainty, the wait was worth it.
