However, things in the world of social media have also not always been so easy for Lefty. In an interview, Mickelson admitted to having faced difficulties in his initial years of social media use.
Phil
said, “I was scared to go on social media because, first of all, I have a very addictive personality. So, I can go overboard and not keep it in balance. When I first started, I had help and it was frustrating for me. So I just have taken it over myself and I try to keep it in balance. Every now and then, I’ll get a text from some guys on my team like ‘Hey, what are you doing, man? Take that down’ and I’m okay with that. I try to keep everything as positive as I can.”Mickelson’s admission of having faced issues in the initial years of his social media use is probably something that resonates with a lot of us. Mickelson and Tiger Woods are two of golf’s most well-known players today. This duo, on the other hand, has not always been on good terms.
There was a time when the two were at odds with one another. Around this time, things were just not the same for pro golfers and the rest of the golfing world.
Their relationship, however, has evolved through thick and thin over time. Mickelson was once asked about his old rivalry with Woods.
In fact, despite our reservations, Phil decided to show the world the more positive side of the situation. He was grateful to Tiger Woods for pushing him to work harder and improve his game.
Lefty
said, “He brought out the best in me because he forced me and everybody else to get better. That type of challenge, that type of drive, he instilled in a lot of us. I really enjoyed the fact that I had a chance to play against him, and granted, I probably would have won some more tournaments. But, I wouldn’t have pushed myself as hard.”What do you think about Phil Mickelson’s views on Tiger Woods? Share your views in the comments section below.
