The greatest golfer of all time, Tiger Woods, was great at golf since childhood. His journey from winning his first major championship in 1997 to this day has been a roller coaster. There have been many bumps on the road, personally and professionally. However, he always continued being great.

But a new fact about Woods has been making rounds in the air, and it will blow your mind. He was a mere 11 years old when he was at the peak of his career. It wasn’t the 2000s when the pro golfer showcased his finest golf skills, but it was his childhood. He was and is the most outstanding athlete to walk on the earth, and the achievements from his childhood are authentic examples of his excellent skills.

Woods recently attended a Q&A session with young players at the Tiger Woods Foundation Junior Invitational. There he revealed an unknown fact about him which left everyone shocked. He stated that his life may have reached its zenith when he was 11. However, the twist here was that his mother forced him to contribute his winnings to charity as punishment for his success.

Filling the room with the sound of WOW!, he said, “By the time I had turned 12 when I was 11, my mum made me donate all my trophies because I had won 113.” The 15-time Major winner said that his life peaked when he was an 11 year -old kid. He used to get straight A’s. He was outstanding and used to participate in every event. One summer, he won 36 tournaments. “I got outstanding for effort and participation. I never got posted or in trouble during recess. I won 36 tournaments that summer.” 

And his successful journey did not just end with trophies; he had an adorable girlfriend too. Summing up his peak at 11, he said, “And I think I had the cutest girlfriend. So yes, life peaked at 11.” The legendary golfer is about to turn 47 next week. However, he does not seem to stop with his age. He teamed up with Rory McIlroy to play ”the match” against Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas on December 10. Even though Woods did not win, he did showcase some great potential. He is still recovering from plantar fasciitis, but the future seems excellent.

The fans have been waiting for their favorite golfer to hold another major championship trophy. However, it was not just fans who believed in Woods, but a fellow professional golfer, too.

The European tour player, Padraig Harrington, believes that Woods will register another major win under his name. After seeing him in action at the PNC Championship, it convinced him that the 15-time major championship winner would make it 16 next year. Harrington claims: “The way I looked at him, I genuinely think he will be in contention. And as I said, I’m sure he wishes every tournament he could play; if it’s like a Major, he’s going to have a chance.” 

However, only time will tell if Woods will come closer to breaking the record of Jack Nicklaus’ 18 major wins.
