TGL is only 4 days away and it is already hit with a major controversy! The Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy‘s next-generation golf league will soon kick off its inaugural season at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The event is slated to be action-packed with some of the biggest names partaking in its first season already. The illustrious list includes the co-owners, world no. 2; Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, and many more.

Despite all the exciting actions to anticipate, none of the fans would like to be treated the way LPGA Tour caddie Andrew was treated by the organization. A few hours ago, they shared a tweet stating, “Hah,me neither… Now I feel like I got duped into taking my son to see Tiger and his team Jan 27, but then again I shoulda known better when they changed my seat on me citing ‘oops we didn’t mean to sell those front row seats’.” The post included a screenshot of the email they received from TGL where the details of the changes in the ticket were mentioned.

This caught the attention of the golf news outlet Monday Q Info, who had their own views to share as they said, “Nice @TGL mistakes happen, but an email saying basically “remember how you ordered first row tickets, well we got you way worse ones for the same price!” seems not great. Maybe we can get Andrew and his son some better tix?,” requesting the TGL officials to get Andrew out of this mess.

Within a few minutes of posting, the tweet has already received a few reactions with fans mostly suggesting that they won’t be supporting TGL for such a major messup. Not a good way to kick off the first season of what is supposed to be the future of golf.

But then again, this is not the first negative that has come to light about TGL in the past few days. Let’s see how the Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy project shocked another insider for their preparedness just days before the launch.

Is Tiger Woods’s TGL ready for action?

TGL has often been part of controversies ever since the project was announced a couple of years ago. But in a Christmas episode of the Drop Zone – Golf Podcast, another golf journalist, James Colgan, had something even more concerning to share about the arena. During the podcast, they shared how the venue is not yet completely constructed. Colgan mentioned “I was shocked by how little had been built in this arena that is just 3 weeks away from launch,” suggesting that the venue is not prepared for action that is about to commence on January 7, 2025.

Not long before that, even Rickie Fowler was caught saying that he was not sure how TGL would perform in terms of views. It came as a major shock to the community which was already uncertain about the entire experience of indoor simulation golf.
