Spiranac then talked about how she wanted to play the front tee shots since she was more comfortable with it. She said, “And so I want to play the front tees, I didn’t want to play the back tees with the min which it’s like 6900 but even elevation that’s that’s a big golf course for me. And it’s not that I don’t hit it far enough, I don’t think to compete. But I don’t play enough now where I can hit five irons into these greens and my short games not sharp and I’m not in competition shape.”

Paige Spiranac was allowed to practice at the front tee holes during the practice rounds. But the next day, an official told Spiranac that because of her strong and long-driving ability, she couldn’t play there. Spiranac recalls the moment as being frustrating.
The 29-year-old said, “And I was really frustrated with that because I was practicing from the red tees. I had this idea that I was going to play from those tees. It was a yard that I felt very comfortable at.”

She further added, “And they wanted to move me back with the men and personally I just I don’t think that’s fair. A lot of these guys that play in this event, Steph Curry, Tony Romo, Mark molder.”
Spiranac then compared her drive to her fellow men competitors who weren’t intervened by an official. She said, “And honestly, I just don’t think that that is fair. And I felt like I was being punished for hitting it far for a female. It was just really weird dynamic, which I didn’t understand and didn’t make sense to me.”
Despite her struggles, Spiranac competed in the tournament with the utmost determination. She finished the tournament tied in at the 26th rank alongside former Baseball player Tim Wakefield.
