Tiger Woods finally made his comeback to competitive golf at the 2022 Masters. After an intense round, the 15-time major championship winner wrapped up his Masters campaign at Augusta on Sunday. Tiger Woods reflects upon his struggles and comeback

The 82-time PGA Tour made arguably one of the greatest comebacks in golf history. He played his first official event since the 2020 November Masters. Not to forget, Woods met with a fatal accident in February 2021, and as a result, he injured his right leg severely. As a result, the five-time Masters champion was out of the sports for nearly nine months.

Moreover, the 46-year-old played exceptional golf in all four rounds and made a strong comeback in the game. Woods spoke to the media after his final round at Augusta. The golf legend spoke about how tough the past year was, and how he fought all the challenges to make his comeback at the Masters.

Tiger spoke about the same in an interview on Sunday. He said, “I don’t think people really understand. The people who are close to me understand. They’ve seen it. Some of the players who are close to me have seen it and have seen some of the pictures and the things that I have had to endure.”

He added, “It’s one thing to play with my son at a hit-and-giggle, but it’s another thing to play in a major championship. It’s been a tough road, and one that I’m very thankful to have the opportunity to be able to grind through it. Moreover, Woods’ words prove the amount of determination he had to play at the 2022 Masters.

What did Tiger shoot on Sunday at Augusta?

Woods made a solid finish to his 2022 Masters campaign on Sunday. Moreover, he carded a final round of six-over-par, 78 on a sunny day at Augusta National. As a result, he ended the event with an overall score of 13-over-par in solo 47th position. His final round of six-over-par included one birdie and three bogeys on the front nine. In turn, he moved out in two-over-par, 38. Tiger made two bogeys and a double bogey on the back nine to end his miraculous comeback at Augusta National Golf Club.
