Contrary to popular belief, even legends like Tiger Woods have a unique way of playing the ball. Although golf is a sport that requires precision, skill, and deep understanding, it still provides the freedom to introduce novel playing techniques. There is no doubt that Woods has taken the game to a whole new level with his exceptional skills, leaving even the best golfers in the world in awe.

Recently, one such event on the course baffled Scottie Scheffler. During a club testing session with Woods, the world No. 2 was left in shock after learning about the legend’s unconventional trick on the course!

Scheffler and Woods were both part of the testing field for the new TaylorMade clubs. The uncut video of the session recently went up, and in it, a conversation between the two went viral! While hitting on the course, the current world No. 2 noticed that all the legend’s shots were clean off the grass! Curious, he asked, “Hey, what’s up with the no divots?” Woods, bewildered replied, “Why do you need to take a divot?

The 2022 Masters winner was still wrapping his head around and said,“I don’t know; I’m asking you.” Woods responded casually, “When I’m swinging well… when I’m flushing it, I don’t take divots.” Well, it’s certainly something new Scheffler learned from his idol, and perhaps we’ll now see him use that on the course!

A divot is, for many, a healthy sign of golf play. It is when players scuff up the grass with their club while playing a shot, which many believe is essential for hitting a solid stroke. But the golf legend, of course, is a different breed. And in the clip, he proved that by busting open the myth about divots and leaving the likes of Scheffler perplexed.

Will Woods play in the PGA Championship 2023?

The PGA Championship is around the corner, and golfers are gearing up to prove themselves in one of the most talked-about tournaments. Fans are also excited to watch their favorites’ games on the field. However, unfortunately, this time the 47-year-old will not participate in the major. Just last month, Woods withdrew from the Masters because of his injuries being aggravated, and he soon followed that with a surgery to relieve the pain. Now recovering, the golf pro will not be back in time for the week’s second major!

For Woods, this year has not been ideal, and it may be possible that he will miss the other two majors during the year as well. Only time will tell what will really happen, but one thing is certain: the whole golf world is now waiting for his stellar comeback!
