Corpuz has been quickly rising in ranks in the LPGA and LET circuits. Her incredible win at Pebble Beach created history during the US Open. Being her maiden major championship win, it garnered much praise from the golf community. This has now resulted in rising expectations of a spectacular performance at the Amundi Evian Championship as well.

In an interview, Corpus was asked by a reporter about the changes that tag along once after winning a major. They discussed questions like how she looks at her schedule and her way of practicing. And Allisen Corpuz responded while acknowledging that these victories have enabled the people to recognize her. Even during practice rounds, they know who she is.

And about her schedule, she said, “there is a lot more security in knowing I don’t have to worry about getting status or anything. It’s really nice being comfortable knowing that I’ll be able to pick and choose my schedule.”

“I like being out here. I don’t think I will play much less just because I have the status secured. I like coming out and competing and staying fresh.”

Her familiarity with the course she is going to play is quite evident. Apart from that, she also enjoys the town and the people there. And one of the things she likes is that the course is a lot hillier than the ones she usually plays on. When discussing the game, she highlighted the need for creativity while playing approach shots on the Evian course.

The golfer is excited to add another feat to her name this year. Her performance at Pebble Beach earned her the highest prize of $2 Million, and it would be exciting to see how much more she can take home. At the recent Greater Toledo LPGA classic, Corpuz played par -3s better than her competitors, and carded swift birdies. Her form is at its best. But will that continue at the Evian?
