Back in 2021, Bryson DeChambeau had a public spat with his fellow LIV Golf colleague Brooks Koepka. Though on good terms now, both men have an on-and-off feud.
DeChambeau was ridiculed by the people throughout the 2021 BMW Championship with chants of “Brooksy” for his feud with Koepka. Paige Spiranac did not condemn this behavior and went public with her words last year.
Paige Spiranac sympathized with Bryson DeChambeau
Spiranac shared her thoughts on Twitter following the incident. She claimed the whole incident was harassment and blamed the PGA Tour for handling the situation poorly.
Let me just say that I don’t condone harassment and I do feel bad that Bryson is dealing with it. We need him to make golf interesting. But how this has been handled with banning a word is only going to make it worse for him. Fix the bigger problem. It’s not “Brooksy”

Later, Spiranac posted another tweet that stated, “Yelling ‘Brooksy’ will get you thrown out of PGA tour events now. 1. That’s lame. 2. Where was this energy with Mashed Potatoes.” The “mashed potatoes” chants gained fame when a spectator yelled it during the Chevron World Championship in 2011. Paige Spiranac also showed concern by tweeting how she felt bad for DeChambeau.
A few days later, PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan also shared a statement claiming the whole situation was “harassing” and “disrespectful” behavior from the fans. He also told that kind of behavior won’t be tolerated in the future.
Paige Spiranac, on the other hand, continued to show her support for DeChambeau for the rest of the 2021 PGA Tour. Whether it was the BMW Championship or the Ryder Cup, she always showed the 28-year-old on a positive note.
Spiranac’s 3-word reaction to DeChambeau’s departure
After a year of full support to Bryson DeChambeau, Spiranac had a sudden change of opinion about The Scientist after he jumped to the LIV Golf. DeChambeau reportedly signed a guaranteed deal worth $100 million with the Saudi-backed Golf Tour.

It was eminent that DeChambeau would be heavily criticized for his decision. One of her biggest critics was none other than the 2022 Maxim’s Sexiest Woman Alive.
After his move to LIV Golf, DeChambeau’s agent tweeted about the move with a tweet that read, “Bryson has always been an innovator.” The agent further added, “Having the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of something unique has always been intriguing to him. Professional golf as we know it is changing and it’s happening quickly.”
