Tony Finau and his wife sure know how to have fun and share a laugh. In 2023, the PGA Tour’s Twitter account shared a video compilation of the golfer’s TikTok moments where he can be seen grooving to songs like Renegade and Lottery while sharing some hilarious moments with his wife Alayna. Then last year, Alayana put Tony’s golf clubs up for “sale” after he apparently forgot to ask her to be his Valentine. On this occasion, Alayna had another reason to have plenty of laughs, as Tony found himself on the receiving end of an unusual bet at the golf course.

Tony Finau was last active on the TPC Sawgrass but had a forgettable outing. He made 10 bogeys and a double over his two rounds as he missed the cut. After finishing T-13 at Pebble and T-5 at the Genesis, he could only card a +8 at the Players Championship. While he didn’t have the ideal outing on the course, he found himself in the midst of some lighthearted heckling thanks to some onlookers.

The golfer was walking on the course when three friends made a hilarious bet. A video on Instagram by @handshakebets and @back9boys shows them challenging people $5 for calling out and heckling Finau. The caption on the video read, “$5 you won’t tell Tony Finau he has a phat a$$.” Known for taking up challenges of this kind, Tyler Kozub, the co-founder of Handshake Bets, yelled out, “Hey, Tony, your a** looks kinda fat in those pants, buddy!” as the golfer was walking by.

Alayna reshared the video on her IG story and mentioned after Tony came home he informed her that someone on the course heckled him during his round. But Alayna, couldn’t stop laughing. In the caption of her story, she wrote, “Tony came home & said, ‘someone on the course said my 🍑 looked big”. LOL and then someone tags me in this video on TikTok. & I died. 😂💀”

Meanwhile, Tony Finau was not the only betting target for this group. During The PLAYERS Championship, the friends made a bet that Pat, one of the friends, could not finish his beer before Scottie Scheffler’s ball hit the greens. Another $5 bet, but Pat made it through and won the bet.

Lately, it’s going tough on the greens for Tony Finau. His last win came back in 2023 with the Mexico Open. He followed that with a series of moderate performances and missed cuts. This comes after an impressive 2024 for the golfer. Last, Tony Finau gave us plenty to cheer for. He dug deep at the U.S. Open, grinding his way to a T-3 finish and proving he’s still a force to be reckoned with. Week in and week out, he stayed in the hunt with multiple top-10s. It was that effortless power and cool demeanor we love. Sure, there were a few bumps along the way, but Finau never backed down—17-under at The Sentry, clutch performances when it mattered – he kept swinging.

Despite failing to register a win, he was consistent with his performances, missing just two cuts in 22 events. He eventually finished 23rd in the season-long FedExCup Championship and made $5,706,467 as official money.

Last year, having helped the U.S. team register its tenth consecutive win in the Presidents Cup, the golfer was more than active outside of it. Max Homa was still teeing off at the 17th hole when the afterparty started. Finau was asked about his plans for the night. His answer? “In the wise words of Travis Kelce, “You’ve gotta fight, for your right … to party!!!!” Undoubtedly, the life of the party, Tony knows how to have fun.

Known well as a family man, his social media is filled with moments of hilarity with his children and wife. In one of the videos, he can be seen having light-hearted banter with his son with the caption, “When son finally beats father on the golf course.” In another video, the family can be seen all dressed up to cheer Tony on for a tournament.

Tony Finau and Alayna maintain a healthy and playful relationship

Tony Finau and Alayna Finau welcomed their sixth child early this year. What’s next? They wait until the baby is born and let their other children make bets on the baby’s gender. OF course, there’s a video. He brings his children into the hospital room where Alayna has the baby wrapped in a blanket with only the face showing. Then, Finau asks his children, one at a time, to guess. The kids were all in on a baby brother. But, surprise! They got a baby sister!

Before that, in the year 2024, Finau was dealing with the LIV Golf rumors. People were suspecting that the World No. 31 will take a leave from the Tour for a deal worth at least $350 million. But Alayna jibed back with a TikTok video. In it, the couple enjoys some time together while acknowledging the rumor. Alayna says, “My life is complicated enough, the last thing I need is more drama.” Then, a report about the LIV Golf and Finau drama comes up on the screen. “Hello, drama,” she says then. Fans found fun in it and ended up both laughing and supporting the couple.

Even before this, Alayna threatened to sell Finau’s clubs for 99 cents for not asking her to be his Valentine. Married for 12 years then, Alayna posted their picture and said: “It’s Feb. 12 and he hasn’t asked me to be his Valentines yet.” She added a picture of his golf bag and wrote: “Golf Clubs for sale, 99 cents. Hits far, thick grips, custom leather, head covers, Foresight launch monitor included.” Finau found it funny and said: “For like 99 cents, can you believe it?”
