Paige Spiranac said, “I was bullied so bad to the point where I didn’t want to live anymore and people say these things and they think that it’s funny or that it has no effect on that person and people I think, think that words don’t mean anything.” She ended by saying,“But words cut deep, they really do.”

In 2016, after failing to make the cut at the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, Spiranac discussed the “extremely cruel” remarks she had received from online trolls who also targeted her loved ones during a news conference. She said, “They attack not only me, but my parents, my family, my friends and they say I’m a disgrace to golf, and no one sees that.”
The then 24-year-old further added, “And I still get those comments and I still deal with it every day.” Despie quitting professional circuit, Paige continues to be transparent about the criticism she’s faced over the years.
