In the same spirit, let’s recall the wounds of the ‘great white shark’ of golf, Greg Norman. The most unsettling fact about his injuries was that he had three knee surgeries due to just one person.

Norman is now the CEO of LIV Golf, and is busy with the planning for 2023. However, a few years back, he revealed an incident that changed his life forever. Let’s find out what made the major championship winner undergo three knee surgeries.

A YouTube video from 2017 is the full story of why Norman had to suffer. They broadcast the full episode worldwide in 2015, where the LIV CEO revealed how former POTUS Bill Clinton was the reason for his great fall. On the Graham Bensinger show, Norman recalled the time when the former president got his heel caught and fell down the stairs. And the former pro golfer caught him and survived significant knee injuries. He said, “I’ve had three knee surgeries because he landed on my knee.”

Explaining the incident, he said“he fell on my knee, and my knee had buckled down, and I couldn’t move because we didn’t know what was wrong with him.” The entire weight was on his knee, and he couldn’t move. Even the former POTUS was immobile because it hurt him.

They both were in incredible pain. However, in a matter of seconds, they both were surrounded by a team of doctors and associates trying to figure out what went wrong. They were both rushed to the hospital immediately. And that is one incident in his life that Norman will never forget.

Why did Norman try to save the former POTUS?

Norman’s instinct did not allow him to stand and watch while his friend was suffering. Yes, Clinton and golf’s ‘great white shark’ were best friends. It started when Bill Clinton was elected into the office, and went to Australia on a visit. Norman received a call from the white house saying that Clinton wanted to play a game of golf with him.

Norman was not happy with the invitation as he was against the policies and approach of the President then. But out of respect, he agreed to play, and they spent time together. As a result, the former golfer realized how wrong he was about the President. He learned that Clinton was a good man with good intentions for the nation. He even confessed and told the president, “I pre-judged you on your political viewpoints, and not you as a person” Norman learned a huge lesson, “Never prejudge anybody on anybody else’s opinion.” And since then, they have stayed good friends.
