The 21-year-old LIV Golf professional, David Puig is a powerhouse of talent. He had a very bright college golf career going for him before he was signed by LIV Golf. His young age, and the decision to cut back on college to play golf full-time was a shocker to many people in the golf world.

After spending a successful year acing the greens at LIV Golf, Puig was recently seen talking about his decision to play on the Saudi-backed league. He mentioned how he has always known that he belongs at LIV Golf. Thereby standing firm with his decision to join the PGA Tour’s frenemy.

David Puig said, “It was not a difficult decision — with everything that was going on at the time — I made a pretty good decision playing there… I knew and I know that I belonged here, but I still learn things every single day — things that a lot of these guys here already know. “

Puig also talked about how, more than a professional choice, LIV is truly a learning experience for him. He discussed how it is truly enriching to be able to play individually and also in teams with talented golfers from around the world. Keeping this in mind, what do you think will be next for David Puig?

David Puig was signed for LIV Golf back in 2022 when he was just a 20-year-old college pro. He then decided to cut short his career as a college pro and join the league. Ever since, Puig has been seen gracing the greens of LIV Golf internationally.

He recently talked about his expectations for what his future holds. He said, “I am not sure what the future holds, but I love LIV and [team] Torque…hopefully stay here for as long as I can.”
