Max Homa had his chance of shining bright in the Masters this year, and well, he left no stone unturned to do that! He began the championship with a bang, carding 7 birdies in the first round, scoring a 5-under 67! However, he ended up with a 1-over 73 in the final round, tying for the 3rd position at the Masters Championship alongside Tommy Fleetwood and Collin Morikawa, just 7 strokes away from the lead.

Although Homa carried out the entire game beautifully, the highlight was tying for the top position with Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau after the second round. However, he dropped down in the last two rounds. But well, that did not cripple his spirits. Although he was aiming for the green jacket this year, according to Homa, the Masters taught him a lot more than just that this year!

Hours after the Masters Championship came to an end, Max Homa took to his official Instagram account and shared a picture of himself and his caddie, Joe Greiner, on the greens of the Augusta National Golf Club. And for the caption, he left a long emotional message for his followers! He began by writing, “A potential “too long didn’t read” upcoming: Winning doesn’t always come with a trophy.”

He went on to state that the feat of victory can never be predicted. However, what matters most is that you continue to learn from our efforts and, most importantly, grow through each experience. He added, “I’d love to have won a green jacket today. It hurts. Losing sucks. But, with the right mindset, losing leads to better.” And now, all he hopes for is to keep improving and let life take charge of the flow with the results.

For him, the Major championship is way beyond just the trophy, but at the same time, there’s no denying that he aspires to win it soon, and well, he is doing everything in his capable hands to make that a reality. He is all set to take back all that he has been able to learn from this tournament and put it to use to come out victorious soon enough. Homa wrote, “I have a sneaky suspicion it will, but that’s to be determined by future Sundays.”
