The world is reeling from the shock of the triple earthquakes that has shattered lives in Turkey and Syria. But if that wasn’t enough, there were more atrocities in store for a Cincinnati golf cart dealer, who lost 100 golf carts in a fire. The incident occurred on Monday evening and required the help of multiple fire engines to be put out. Yet, the situation looks grim from a monetary perspective.

Fire erupts on 100 golf carts

A regular afternoon in Cincinnati turned upside-down when there were multiple distress calls claiming to have seen a fire envelope. When several fire engines reached the spot, they witnessed a multifold of black smoke rising behind a building.

The fire occurred at the Cincy Custom Carts on Montgomery Road. In his statement, the Sycamore Township Fire Department Captain, Jefferey Newman, claimed that around 100 carts were scarred, either completely or partially.

The fire was put down by the evening by multiple fire engines by evening, but the damage had been done. The carts that burnt down involved both gasoline-powered engines and battery-charged engines, which added to the confusion. But the damage at hand was devastating.

Losses of up to $1 million on burnt golf carts

The owner of the dealership, Carl Wesley, was in dire spirits after the fire damaged his resources. He claimed that replacing the damaged golf carts would be a headache in the coming days, but what concerned him most were carts that were no longer serviceable.

“A cart that’s totally done can be in the $9,000 to $10,000 range,” Wesley painfully said. With that being said, a century of completely damaged carts would add to excruciating losses of up to $1 million. The figure is enough to ruin businesses around the world, but thankfully, it wouldn’t put Wesley out of business, he claimed.

However, the effects would be long-lasting, as the owner claimed that he might have to alter some of their goals for the year. While the news was nothing short of a misfortune, it had a silver lining. In hazardous circumstances, there were no reported casualties, which meant there was only damage to property and not to any life forms.
