This might be the last time you see Tiger Woods or Rory McIlroy in TGL! Just to clarify, we meant for the first season of the tech-driven golf league. Now, the co-owners are not stepping away from the tournament. But they might make their last appearances for the inaugural season depending on what transpires in the last two events.

The fate of who gets the final spot in the playoffs rests on two matches. And the match involving Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links GC is the final league match before the knockouts. Will this be Tiger Woods’ final bout in the first season of TGL?

Whether Tiger Woods, Max Homa, and Tom Kim will get to play again is not relevant at the moment. Their focus should be on winning their match against Atlanta Drive GC. And with their core players in the form of Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay withdrawing, this will be their best shot. The Jupiter Links GC need to put on a show for the audience and grab their second win of the tournament. Woods knows that and he will be pumped up to go in and win like he has for so many years.

Fortunately, everyone will be able to watch all the action from the event as it happens live. The entire round will be broadcast on ESPN. Fans can also stream the event on the ESPN+ website. This gives everyone plenty of options to watch it from wherever they want.

Jupiter Links GC vs. Atlanta Drive GC preview

The team of Tiger Woods, Max Homa, Kevin Kisner, and Tom Kim haven’t had a great time in TGL so far. They have only managed to secure one win while outright losing 3 matches. Their only victory came against Rory McIlroy‘s Boston Common Golf. They couldn’t even push one of the matches to overtime, which would have given them 1 more point. So far they have accumulated 2 points in the league.

But their battle against Atlanta Drive GC might be different. As we have mentioned, the opposition is already missing Patrick Cantlay and Justin Thomas for this match. They have signed Nick Dunlap on a one-match contract to fill the spot. Dunlap will join Billy Horschel and Lucas Glover and try to help the team jump up to the second spot on the leaderboard. But, the fact is, Atlanta Drive GC doesn’t need to win any more games to make it to the playoffs. This gives the Jupiter Links GC an advantage to win the match.

Only after they win should they be concerned about New York GC’s match. But Tiger Woods & Co. will need to rely on the results of both the matches if they want to go through to the playoffs. So they can’t completely switch off from what’s going on in the penultimate match of the season as well.
