There are less than two weeks left for the 44th Ryder Cup and fans are desperately waiting to see the action unfolding in front of their eyes. This event is being held at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, Rome which means that not everyone would be able to make it to the venue.

However, fans could still catch up on the thrill and excitement by catching the show on television. Here is a guide on how to watch this year’s Ryder Cup.

Where to catch the TV broadcast of the Ryder Cup?

Ever since both the team captains announced their wildcard entries for their respective teams, the hype for the upcoming tournament has increased multiple times. With fan favorites like Rickie Fowler and Brooks Koepka playing in the event, the excitement is at an all-time high in the lead-up.

Recently Team US visited the course and had a practice session there twice which made the fans even more happy. The main event will be broadcast on the following channels. Fans in America could catch the event from Friday on USA Network, NBC, and Peacock.

The three-day TV schedule with all times ET is as follows – Friday: 1:30AM-Noon (USA Network) Saturday: 1:30-3 AM (USA Network) Saturday: 3 AM-Noon (NBC) Sunday: 5:30 AM-1 PM (NBC). The tournament follows the match-play format and goes for three days rather than the traditional 4 days.

The Cup takes place from a Friday to a Sunday with a total of 28 matches being played, all matches being over 18 holes.

Format at the Ryder Cup

Fourball and foursome matches will be held on Friday and Saturday. There will be a session of four matches in the morning and a session of four matches in the afternoon. Sundays are the final rounds with 12 singles matches, when all team members play. The winning team is selected by the cumulative total points.

The earlier Ryder Cups were covered by BBC. Later it was covered by ITV and Sky Sports. In 2021, Golf Channel and NBC had a combined total of 28 hours of coverage of the event. Fans could also catch snippets on the websites and mobile apps of both NBC Sports and the Ryder Cup.
