Nick Dunlap has a lot riding on this event

Another interesting storyline to be followed is that of Alabama native Nick Dunlap. The young golfer is gunning for the Rookie of the Year title, also called the Arnold Palmer Award. Dunlap has already had an impressive 2 wins this year, winning at The American Express and the Barracuda Championship. At the American Express, he became the first amateur to win on Tour in more than 30 years. And with Tour Members voting for the winner, such a distinction will only get Dunlap closer to the trophy.
