Jon Rahm is set to return to his home soil for the 2024 Spanish Open following an impressive season on the LIV Golf circuit. Rahm, who has consistently demonstrated his dominance throughout 2024, has been one of the standout performers in LIV Golf, securing multiple top finishes and 2 wins, one of them being the LIV Golf Individual Championship.

Rahm has won the Spanish Open consecutively for the years 2018, and 2019 and a third time in 2022. He aims to bag the title yet again this year as he competes at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid from September 26 to 29. Rahm’s presence brings immense excitement to the tournament, and he is set on delivering a standout performance in front of his home crowd. So, here is how you can catch the action from your home.

Spanish Open 2024: Where to watch and when

The Open de España, or Spanish Open, one of the oldest and most prestigious events on the DP World Tour, has been held annually since 1912 (with exceptions in 2017 and 2020). It’s a tournament steeped in history and known for showcasing elite talent. The Club de Campo Villa de Madrid is the venue for this year’s event, offers a challenging course, and has been the host multiple times. Fans can expect thrilling performances as players compete for over $500,000 in prize money, 5,000 Race to Dubai points, and 1,500 Ryder Cup points.

Viewers in the UK can tune in to Sky Sports Golf for live coverage at 1 PM BST on Thursday and Friday and 6 PM BST on Saturday and Sunday. In the US, the Golf Channel and NBC Sports App will air the tournament live.

On Thursday and Friday, the NBC Sports app and the Golf Channel will stream from 8-11 am. Then on Saturday, the NBC Sports app and Golf Channel will stream from 8 AM-Noon; and on Sunday both channels will stream from 7 AM-Noon.  There are some additional times on Thursday and Saturday when NBC Sports App will stream highlights independently from 11 AM-1 PM and 7:30 AM-8 AM, respectively, per NBC Sports. 

Fans expect an exciting line-up of players including stars like Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrrell Hatton, Sepp Straka, Aaron Rai, and Shane Lowry. This means that competition is expected to be fierce keeping the fans on the edge of their seats. Rahm aims to keep the Spanish pride intact as he looks forward to winning the tournament for the fourth time. However, Rahm has recently faced some health challenges. In Dallas, Rahm withdrew from the Team Championship due to flu-like symptoms. His position replacement was John Catlin. There are no updates as to how Rahm is feeling now, but he will be seen in full form in Spain as it considers it his duty.

e explained, “As a Spanish player it is my duty and if I can only come to one, then I will come to one, I will try what I can to play and to support my country. I am aware of the impact a player like me can have and I have seen it every time I come, so like I said, I take it upon me as a duty to be able to come and try to perform and give them four days of entertainment and something to look forward to.”

He wanted to match the record with his ideal, Seve Ballesteros who won the title three times, and he did that with his victory in 2022. With such sentiments, this year’s Spanish Open is not to be missed.
