The Chevron Championship has been associated with the Houston community for more than a century now. The Women’s Major has the target of helping to improve human progress by spreading STEM education among children, focusing on diversity and inclusion, and ensuring women’s excellence. The Vice President of The Chevron Championship, Al Williams said, “For more than 100 years Chevron and the Houston community have been partnering together and we are thrilled to partner with organizations that are working to make our city an even better place.”
How will this be done? Well, it has been stated that every time a golfer scores a birdie in the par-3 17th hole, $10,000 will be donated to the social investment pool. Adding to that, every ace scores $1 million in the pot. This stands as a testament that The Chevron Championship is not just a golf tournament; rather, it is actively a part of benefiting society through its conduct!
