The second annual Member for a Day auction from LPGA Tour is officially live, as it started on October 16 and will be there till October 23. It can give girls and women across the globe a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to indulge in the experience of playing golf on their chosen course just like a pro. This helps them get a realistic picture of what it is like to be a pro and also guides them to elevate their stroke play to the highest level.

To top it all off, funds from the entire auction will be used as donations to help young girls discover their true potential in golf. This initiative by the LPGA Foundation is a win-win for the global community of women’s golf, as everyone involved benefits from it one way or another. What are the available options for LPGA Tour’s Member for a Day auction?

There are 33 different packages available on which you can bet as per your liking, as per the LPGA Tour website. Each plan has a different minimum bid and book now value depending on everything offered. There are a few that we found to be incredibly lucrative for any golf fan.

The Casa de Campo – Stay & Play – 4 Rounds / 3 Nights for 2 package offers more than just 4 rounds of golf. You and your companion will also get to enjoy the leisure of the Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, Dominican Republic, with a two-night stay in their Elite Room. You will also be treated to a complimentary breakfast to get a perfect start to your day before you tee off. What’s more? Both of you will receive a one-hour golf lesson before the rounds start to enhance your game. This will definitely add to your experience of playing on the most celebrated golf courses, the Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore. The minimum bid for this deal is $5000.

If you are looking for a complete family experience or bring your whole group of friends along, then the Robert Trent Jones GC—Stay & Play—2 Rounds/1 Night for 6 will be perfect for you. Its minimum bid is $12,500. The home of the 2024 Solheim Cup will be a perfect escape for any group of golf enthusiasts who want a complete experience on the course. Your journey will begin at The Bobby Russell Cottage, where you will be able to relax, wine, and dine with the most exhilarating views of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. The package also includes breakfast and alcohol, with a $2,000 limit for the latter.

Other courses that are available for auction are the Sleepy Hollow Country Club, the Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, the Country Club, the Old Barnwell, The Bridge, the Baltusrol Golf Club, and the Bethpage Black. You can also choose a Top-100 course in Mamaroneck, New York. We can only imagine the amazing experience you might have at The Inn by Sea Island. You could also get a unique opportunity at the East Lake Golf Course to play with NFL Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis.

Rules of the auction that are to be kept in mind

Once you have placed a bid, you will enter a silent auction pool. The winners will be notified via email. Simultaneously, the winning bidders will also be charged on their credit cards. Please keep in mind that you will only be charged for the bid if you have won it. The winning bid will also be charged an 8% processing fee and will not include a caddie fee, transportation, or accommodation unless specified otherwise in the package.

The amount you bid will be tax deductible as it’s a donation, and the proceeds will go towards charity. However, you will need to consult with your tax advisor regarding the specifications. Please note that bids are not retractable, and you will be liable to complete the payment if you win.
