As soon as one pictures golf and the players involved in the game, what comes to their mind? Well, speaking for ourselves and so many other people around us, we think the answer remains the same in many circles- Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. However, things have spiced up between this duo recently.

The golfing sensations have successfully stepped onto the mini golf course. Both the pro golfers have been said to be having a cold war in this booming golf market. It’s not as mini as it appears to be, after all.

Tiger Woods vs Rory McIlroy: who has the upper hand in this new game?

The new arena of mini golf is spreading like wildfire among enthusiasts. It has long been a popular pastime for both young and old participants. The newer, high-tech versions are embracing a different look and feel in an attempt to tap into and broaden that participant base, whether through indoor, adults-only venues or games screens that guide players through and the highest score wins.

This new course of mini golf, however, is no stranger to competition. Three major players have taken form in this picture. This includes Puttshack, Puttery, and Popstroke.

While Tiger Woods is an investor in PopStroke, Rory McIlroy has emerged as a backer of Puttery. It is ironic how two of the biggest names from the world of golf are actively backing two competitors from mini golf.

Completing this hot trio, Puttshack has received $150 million in growth capital from BlackRock. It is indeed a big deal to have investors like BlackRock backing this relatively new endeavor.

Only time will tell who will win in this arena: Rory or Tiger.

Woods and his new upliftment project

Tiger has been trying to contribute to the betterment of society for a long while now. Shortly after Woods turned pro, he formed the Tiger Woods Foundation. But Woods wanted to do more, and he accomplished exactly that by establishing the Tiger Woods Learning Center.

It took him exactly three and a half years to finally establish the said organization. Woods came a long way to further the betterment of education. His

learning center has strived to not only offer students unique learning experiences in STEM and enrichment programs in college access, but also provide them with an environment where they can recognize their potential and create positive change for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Woods said, “This is by far the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. This is bigger than golf. This is bigger than anything I’ve done on the golf course. Because we will be able to shape lives.”

Woods made this change possible with the help of 25 founding partners, which includes Target, Nike, Augusta National, and many more.
