Though she failed to win a single professional event in 2022, she still managed to make the headlines. In the list released by Forbes of the Highest Paid Female Athletes of 2022, Nelly Korda was placed at the 9th position. Nelly finished a spot behind Jin Young Ko on the LGPA prize-money list. She has endorsement deals with more than 10 brands. Some of them include Hanwha Q Cells, a manufacturer of solar cells, and UKG, a tech company focused on workforce management. Apart from the list of highest earners, Nelly also found her name in another Forbes list.

As male golfers earns millions in tournament money, the stark difference in what the female pros earn is evident. The huge gender pay gap is something that has been highlighted by many athletes like Paige Spiranac over the years, but it remains a daunting issue nonetheless.

Korda, an Olympic Gold Medalist, was named in the Forbes 30 under 30 list in the category of sports. With still only 24 years of age, the LGPA Tour star is immensely talented and already has a lot of hype surrounding her. Will she live up to the expectations?
