You have probably heard about Stewart Cink’s wife. Perhaps you saw her on the greens carrying bags for her husband. Lisa Cink was a regular till 2016 and then returned at this year’s Farmers Insurance Open after a long-drawn battle against breast cancer. But do you know about their children?
Stewart Cink got married quite early; Cink was just 20. He was in his sophomore year when Lisa told him that she was pregnant. Connor arrived three months later. Reagan; their second was born a few years later. Both were with Cink during his 2009 Open Championship victory.
On the greens, rather than Connor, Reagan was a familiar face. He caddied for his father for almost two seasons, first at the Safeway Open in 2020. It wasn’t planned that way, but Reagan wanted to continue.

During COVID-19, Reagan was staying at home with his parents, when he expressed his desire to caddie at one tournament. Cink proposed Safeway. They agreed. But then the duo went on to win. Stewart Cink’s first victory in eleven years.
“He’s just a little bit too good at doing this to where I think if he keeps going, he might find a home out here,” Cink said at that time. Reagan still considers his mother a better caddie than him. Nevertheless, the father-son duo went on to win the 2021 RBC Heritage as well.
But then Cink was getting older. And so was his son, Reagan. Reagan was also a Georgia Tech graduate in industrial engineering. He left his flight operations job at Delta Airlines to caddie for his father.

Interestingly, the Cinks were involved in an advanced putter designing project at Georgia Tech in 2021. They tested the adjustable putter at Bobby Jones Golf Course and provided feedback to the undergrad team of mechanical engineering students.
Reagan got married to Olivia, and Cink later revealed his son won’t be on his bag for 2023. Interestingly, Reagan’s LinkedIn bio still reads ‘PGA Tour Caddie’ even though his stint on the greens has come to pass.

The eldest son, Connor, didn’t take up the vacant post. But that’s perhaps because the duo already had their fill of golf way back in 2013, a memorable victory four years after a career-defining moment.
Stewart Cink’s best moments came with his sons
Team Cink won the 2013 Father-Son Challenge (the PNC Championship), a victory the eight-time PGA Tour winner puts above many. In a 2021 interview, the former Open champion said, “I have three favorites: the British Open win in 2009; the 2013 PNC father-son tournament I won with my son Connor; and the recent win at the Safeway when my other son Reagan caddied for me.”

The duo appeared together later as well. In the 2022 iteration, Connor once again paired up with his father. Team Cink finished 11th. Stewart Cink, when he takes off at the PNC Championship, alternates between his two sons. Either of them pair up, the other likely caddies. Is there trash talk among brothers though?
Connor Cink answered in 2022, “Light, light trash talk, only when there’s good on the other side. If it’s a tough day, we usually let each other off.” Currently, neither of his two sons is directly involved in golf. Stewart Cink would’ve preferred it that way, perhaps. A caddie’s job isn’t easy, and Cink, as much as he loved the family bond, didn’t want that for his son, especially when he had a regular job lined up. Stewart Cink will return with Connor at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club this year.
