The PGA Tour pro’s life off the course is a love story. The Canadian golfer shares his heart with his wife Jenna Shaw and their three tiny champions. Their latest addition, a baby girl, brought immense joy just four weeks before the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions. Hughes quipped about his downtime, saying, “Changing diapers, chasing my kids around.”

With two sons, Kenton (6) and Cohen (3), Hughes’ fatherhood journey has been a thrilling one. Kenton, the eldest, keeps him on his toes with his curious nature and boundless energy. Born on October 3, 2017, Kenton has grown into a lively six-year-old, always eager to explore. Now, with the arrival of their baby girl, Ellie Mae Renee, in December 2023, the Hughes household is filled with even more joy and excitement. His humor shines when discussing diaper-changing skills: “PGA Tour-level, A plus 5!” Mackenzie Hughes jokes about the differences between boys and girls, laughing about the “pee zone.” But beneath the humor, a devoted dad and husband were beaming through.

As per GolfChannel,  before the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua, Hughes shared his newfound expertise. “I can do it quick. I mean 20, 30 seconds we’re done. I’ve seen it all,” he chuckled. “Now actually with a girl, a girl is far easier because, you know, a boy, diaper off, peeing everywhere. I don’t have that problem anymore. The pee’s a little more in the zone right here,” said the golfer about being a girl-dad. As a devoted family man, Hughes savors every moment with his loved ones. Be it the lazy Sundays at home, spirited playtime with the kids, and quiet evenings with his wife.

Notably, his love for his family is not just reserved for private moments. He proudly shares glimpses of their beautiful life on Instagram. From adorable photos of his little ones to heartfelt snapshots with Jenna, his feed is filled with joy and gratitude. However, all this could not be possible without his wife, a rock through his triumphs and quiet moments.
