Arnold Palmer is probably one of the greatest professionals of all time. The American professional was a 62-time winner on the PGA Tour, including seven major championship wins. The Arnold Palmer Invitational is just around the corner at Bay Hill. However, being Arnie’s event this week, let’s remember his long-left legacy and take a trip back to memory lane to check out the King hole-in-ones.

According to Arnold Palmer’s official website, the professional scored a total of 21 Hole-in-ones, with distances ranging from 122 to 245 yards. As a result, his total ace distance measures 3,305 yards or 1.8 miles. Palmer has made aces in 11 different states, two countries, with every club in the bag except the driver and the putter.

Arnie made his first hole-in-one when he was in high school. Approximately in the 1940s’. He made the hole-in-one at the second hole of his home course, Latrobe Country Club in Pennsylvania. However, this was not the last one. He carded four more aces on the same hole, the last one in 1997. Arnold made two aces on the PGA Tour as well. He made one in the first round of Tournament of Champions 1959 at Desert Inn Country Club in Las Vegas which was on the par 3, 16th hole from 163 yards.

Arnie made the second one in 1980 at Bobe Hope Classic. He aced the par 3, 6th hole at Indian Wells from 150 yards. Not to forget, he was 50 years old at that time. The King had two aces on the Champions Tour as well. One was in the 1990 PaineWebber Invitational and then the other one in the 1992 GTE Northwest Classic.

Arnold Palmer’s last ace and his most amazing ones

Palmer made his last of the ace at the age of 82 in 2011. He made a hole-in-one at the Bay Hill Club’s Charger Course. However, one of his most iconic and amazing ones was back to back on two consecutive days. It was at the Chrysler Cup in 1986.

He aced the third hole on September second from 182 yards. At TPC Avenal in Maryland, he made a hole-in-one using a five iron. However, what makes it amazing, is that he made another ace on the same hole with the same club and with the same yardage. The next day on September third.
