This week the DP World Tour is hosting the Nedbank Golf Challenge played at the Gary Player Country Club located in Sun City, North West province, South Africa. Started in 1981 the competition gives the European players a chance to win a prize purse of $6 million this year.

This year the game will not only benefit the players in the form of a paycheck but also those special children who are in need of financial support. Supported by Gary Player’s foundation the tournament is benefitting a greater cause.

The event formerly called the Million Dollar Challenge was initially played as a small-field invitational stroke play event where only 12 contestants used to play. However, in 2013 it was added to the DP World Tour, and the number of players was also increased to 30 in 2015 and subsequently to 72 in 2016. Vivienne worked tirelessly to ensure we were doing our part to make a positive impact in their lives.”

He continues in his post, Education is a gateway to the world and to have the support of Nedbank, the DP World Tour, and many others will no doubt help generations to come.”
