The tournament will have all 13 teams competing in head-to-head matches, with the top three teams in the standings—Crushers GC, Legion XIII, and Ripper GC—earning byes to the quarterfinals, which means they skip the first round of matchups. The event spans three days: Friday Quarterfinals, Saturday Semifinals, and Sunday Finals.
Teams ranked 4th–13th take part in five quarterfinal matches on Friday with matchups determined at a live press conference with team captains during tournament week. The winners from Friday’s matches get a place in the semifinals to ultimately earn a place in the Sunday finale. There are also some significant changes in the format this year.
Team captains can now choose to participate in either singles or foursomes matchups during the first two days of play. The competition has a combination of team stroke play and match play formats, ensuring every player gets the chance to contribute over the weekend.
The highly anticipated event will have fans gleaming with excitement at the prospect of having an epic conclusion to the LIV Golf season.

We cannot forget that the tournament has already given us some iconic moments. The Crushers GC claimed their first Team Championship title in 2023 after a dramatic final in Miami, where Lahiri was the top performer as he shot a stunning 7-under-65 in the final round to defeat the RangeGoats GC by just two strokes. DeChambeau finished with a 5-under 67, while Howell shot even-par 72 and Casey a 73. “I can’t be happier with this team of mine. I don’t know what else to say. I’m at a loss of words right now. … These guys are the best. Any time you get a win with a team, I’d say honestly that’s more important than individual stuff,” said 2x US Open winner post-winning.
However, in the 2024 season, there are other strong contenders too. With the Championship starting on September 20, who do you think will win? Let us know in the comments!
