Moreover, the Australian golfer has been struggling a little bit with his game for the last couple of years. But his back injury has also played a vital role in this struggle. So hopefully, this new signing will bring him success and more confidence on the course.

Jason Day signs with Bridgestone ball thanks to Tiger Woods

The 34-year-old Australian golfer has signed a deal with the Bridgestone ball. Moreover, he has Tiger Woods to thank for introducing these golf balls to him. Jason Day was an equipment-free agent in 2020 when he first came across this ball. He was watching Tiger hitting some incredibly measured shots on the green.

Of course, it was Woods’s skills, but even the equipment like the ball had a role to play in it. Hence, Day approached him, and now he will be using these golf balls in the tournament. “We were doing some short game work with Tiger’s ball, the XS, and it caught my attention right away,” said Day.

“I initially played the XS and liked it, but after working with Bridgestone’s R&D team and really learning about the ball fitting process, it was obvious that the Tour B X was the best fit for my game.” Notably, Day feels that Tiger’s XS model offered more spin and thus was perfect for his game.

Furthermore, the Australian golfer confirmed that he has seen an incredible improvement in his short game. The spin, ball speed, and control with this new ball have been at their best for Jason Day. So hopefully, Jason will find a lot more success, and he will get back in the winner’s circle on the PGA Tour soon.
