What’s your definition of an ideal partner? Every golfer wants their partner by his side on the greens, and this is what Tahnee Kirk, the wife of Chris Kirk, offers to him. However, her support extends further beyond the greens. From meeting on a farm to becoming a life partner, their love story dates back to 2008.
Tahnee Kirk was born in Georgia and graduated from Oconee County High School. She has been with Chris Kirk for about 16 years now. The couple first met on a mutual friend’s blueberry farm back in 2008. At that time, Kirk was on his way to the Sugar Bowl Championship, but who would have thought this little detour to the blueberry farm would change his life forever?
After their first meeting, both of them developed a mutual liking for each other and started dating. Not long after they began dating, they chose to become lifelong partners. They got married on August 29, 2009. They are now a family of five. The couple has three children: Foster, Sawyer, and Wilder.

Although Tahnee is private about her personal life, she accompanies her husband to the greens. Back in 2015, when the pro claimed the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, she was by his side to celebrate. She was also spotted with Kirk during the 2015 President’s Cup. While she indeed supports her husband on the course, she has played a much bigger role in the golfer’s life to overcome a challenge.
Tahnee helped Chris Kirk battle alcoholism and depression
It happened in May 2019 when the golfer announced that he was taking an “indefinite leave” from golf to battle alcohol and depression issues. However, his wife had already pointed out this problem in November 2018 and said, “I think you have a problem.” As the pro was figuring things out and healing, Tahnee was also there to help him.

At that time, Chris Kirk’s struggle with alcohol addiction was at its peak. Whether he was eating or alone in a hotel, the golfer found it incredibly difficult to resist the urge to consume alcohol. However, she later found the answer and said, “Well, that´s because I just wasn’t looking at it the right way… It took a lot of research and studying for me, too, to understand more of what he was going through. It’s not just something that can be turned off. It’s been hard, but I think we’re finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel,” as revealed on the PGA Tour.
Talking about her role in his life, the golfer said, “For me personally, the support from her staying by my side and that kind of feeling of unconditional love, just wants the best for me, wants the best for our family and that is huge. That goes a long way. I definitely have not made it easy on her lately.”
