Bryson DeChambeau is unquestionably one of the most muscular golfers on the Professional circuit at the moment. His strong forearms have been a key factor in his long golf drives. But this wasn’t the case earlier in his career. During his initial professional days, the Scientist was very skinny. But with sheer hard work, DeChambeau changed the sport and went on to earn the name “The Incredible Bulk”.

DeChambeau has shared his workouts on his YouTube account over the years. Moreover, he also has shared details of the kind of diet he follows. This acts as an inspiration for many upcoming golfers.
Over the years, the perception of golfers has been as someone who’s slightly skinny and scrawny. There has hardly been any golfer who has been muscular and bulky like DeChambeau. So it is quite evident that the 28-year-old is redefining the typical golfer image in his own style.

Known as the “Mad Scientist“, when he first appeared on the scene in 2016, his experiments included cutting all of his clubs to the same length and immersing golf balls in Epsom salt to measure their center of gravity. Coming from a Physics background, DeChambeau loved experimenting.

Although DeChambeau’s transformation seems to have happened quickly, it started three years before his maiden Major win, when he saw Greg Roskopf, the Denver-based creator of Muscle Activation Techniques. DeChambeau completely overhauled his physique there to create a structure that could withstand great force without being hurt.

Many people consider that doing a lot of heavy lifting can hurt their golf swing, but Bryson DeChambeau’s method seem to prove them wrong. Roskopf assisted the American in translating all of his efforts into clubhead speed, ball speed, and of course, distance while maintaining and even improving his flexibility.

Dechambeau’s Diligent Dieting Plan
The diet that the Mad Scientist follows is unique compared to other golfers. Bryson DeChambeau reportedly eats 3,500 calories everyday, that contain nearly 400 grams of protein. That’s more than four times the recommended amount of protein for a man his size.
Result of DeChambeau’s strong physique was depicted in his results. The golfer went on to win his first Major title at Winged Foot Golf Club after winning the 2020 US Open. Though he hasn’t won any Major, but he’s always considered a favorite to win the Major.
