With his win against Will Zalatoris in last year’s PGA Championship, Thomas joined the prestigious roster of golfers who have claimed the Wanamaker trophy twice in their career. This week, the Louisville native returns to defend his title at the Oak Hill Country Club in New York.

So, what does JT think about this year’s turf for the event? While he believes the course is great, the golfer appears to have certain inhibitions about the weather. “It’s Rochester, New York in May,” shared Thomas in a press conference on Monday.  “I think it snowed like 3 weeks ago.”

His T14 finish at Wells Fargo Championship earlier this month came after a dismal April, wherein the golfer missed the cut at the Masters. He then followed it up with a forgettable T25 finish at the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head. Thomas also received a huge shock last month as he fell out of the top 10 in the world for the first time in 6 years.

This week, the 15-time PGA Tour winner has a golden chance to reclaim his position among the top-ranked players and will definitely be giving it his best shot!
