The venue, Quail Hollow Club, is ready for the event scheduled to be held from May 4–7. McIlroy, one of the finest players in the Wells Fargo event, will be playing on the course too, but Spiranac did not pick the PGA Tour loyalist as her favorite to win. Given that McIlroy is among the top players in the world, and one of the best to compete in the tournament, this selection is shocking and draws a lot of attention. Even though the 34-year-old has not had it easy recently, he is the highest ranked player and among the most anticipated performers at the event.
